The Punish Babies began as an idea of a way to show the art of Avery Johnson and Kale Day. They met as students at Washington University in St Louis both pursuing their BFAs in Fine Art. As with many ideas it started small, just a two-person show at an apartment. The second show was a little larger, featuring 8 student artists. Soon word got out and fellow artists were asking to be part of the shows. The Punish Babies have plans to branch out into a diverse array of artistically-centered events, openings and publications.
